Program Overview

Trailblazers Summer Camp is designed for older elementary students who are ready for more independence, problem-solving, and responsibility while still having a lot of fun.

Campers take on hands-on challenges that blend farm life, science, building, creative projects, teamwork, and outdoor adventure. Each week follows a consistent daily rhythm while offering new activities and challenges, making this a great option for families attending multiple weeks.

Camp days include outdoor exploration, animal time, and supervised water play. Campers should expect to get wet and dirty.

Weekly Themes

Each week has a general focus, while still offering a mix of activities throughout the week. Families are encouraged to choose weeks based on schedule rather than theme.

🟢 Week 1: Explore & Investigate
June 8th–11th
• Farm projects and animal care
• Nature science and observation
• Mapping, scavenger hunts, and exploration challenges

🟢 Week 2: Build & Engineer
June 15th–18th
• Construction and engineering challenges
• Creative building projects
• Team problem-solving activities

🟢 Week 3: Experiment & Design
June 22nd–25th
• Hands-on science experiments
• STEM challenges and trial-and-error projects
• Creative thinking and invention

🟢 Week 4: Adventure & Survival
July 6th–10th
• Outdoor skills and navigation basics
• Team strategy games and obstacle courses
• Cooperative missions and leadership challenges

Activities and projects change weekly. Campers attending multiple weeks will experience new challenges and new projects each week.

Daily Flow

A typical camp day includes:

  • Morning check-in and group plan
  • Guided hands-on challenge or project
  • Outdoor exploration and movement
  • Lunch and downtime
  • Afternoon team activity or build
  • Wrap-up and reflection

Clear expectations, active days, and growing independence.

Outdoor Time & Weather

Outdoor time is a core part of Trailblazers Camp, and campers spend time outside every day.

We closely monitor weather conditions and make thoughtful decisions based on safety and comfort. Light rain and typical summer weather do not automatically keep us indoors.

In cases of heavy rain, thunderstorms, extreme heat, or unsafe conditions, activities move indoors and the day is adjusted as needed.

Outdoor time may include supervised creek play and water activities when conditions are safe and appropriate.
