Hi, I’m Zachary: I am a professional drone pilot and an analyst for the TN National Guard. With years of experience in flying and working with drones, I’ve taught numerous workshops and training sessions. I’m excited to share my passion and knowledge with young enthusiasts, helping them discover the incredible world of drones and their applications. Prior to my current role, I worked for Ragan-Smith Associates, where I gained extensive experience in drone technology and GIS analysis.

Class Overview: Zachary will guide you through the basics of drone technology, covering different types of drones and their various uses in fields such as agriculture, photography, and delivery. You’ll explore the fundamental principles of how drones work, including how they are controlled and the role of sensors and GPS in their operation.
One of the highlights of the class will be the opportunity to fly real drones. Under the careful supervision of Zachary, you’ll learn essential drone flight skills such as takeoff, landing, hovering, and simple maneuvers. Zachary will provide tips and guidance to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable flying experience.
Additionally, you’ll get a sneak peek into our next class on planes by using a professional-grade plane flight simulator used for pilot training. This simulator offers an exciting and realistic experience, giving you a taste of what it’s like to fly a plane.
By the end of the class, you’ll have a solid understanding of drone technology and flight.
