How about we shake up our weekend with some crafty fun? Join us Saturday morning for a blast of color, sparkle, and Halloween magic! Let’s turn ordinary gauze, felt, paper, glue, and paint into boo-tacular decorations, perfect to add a touch of spookiness to our homes this fall season.

During our Craft-urday Funday, we’ll get busy with three enchanting Halloween projects. Maybe we’ll craft a bunch of pumpkin pals or a squad of giddy ghosts! With all the craft supplies provided and our step-by-step guide, you’ll be a Halloween craft-master in no time.

Never crafted before? Fret not! This  is designed for everyone. Whether you’re crafting solo or coming with a bunch of buddies, it’s going to be a fun time!

Discover the joy of watercolor painting with Watercolor Wonders at Hidden Bee Farm! This introductory class, designed specifically for children aged 8 and above, is a wonderful way to dip their toes into the vibrant world of watercolor. In a 2-hour session (from 10 am to 12 pm), participants will learn the fundamental techniques that form the backbone of this art form. The aim is to spark creativity, instill a love for painting, and lay the foundation for their artistic journey. The class fee of $20 covers all required materials. Class Schedule:

Our class schedule is meant to serve as a guideline and we understand that each child’s learning pace is unique. We’re happy to adjust to ensure a positive and enjoyable learning experience for all.

1. Welcome and Introduction (0 – 10 minutes): Our colorful journey begins with introductions and a brief overview of the day’s plan.

2. Understanding Tools and Materials (10 – 30 minutes): A hands-on exploration of watercolor tools and materials to familiarize participants and prepare them for the painting process.

3. Learning Basic Watercolor Techniques (30 – 60 minutes): We’ll immerse ourselves in the world of watercolor, learning essential techniques such as wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, and color mixing.

4. Creating Your First Watercolor Piece (60 – 105 minutes): Participants will apply their newfound skills to create their very own watercolor painting, with our instructor providing guidance every step of the way.

5. Wrap-Up and Tips for Future Projects (105 – 120 minutes): We conclude the class by discussing how to preserve their artwork and sharing some helpful tips for their future watercolor endeavors.

Attention aspiring artists! Hidden Bee Farm is excited to host a specialized watercolor painting class for intermediates this summer. Perfect for those who have mastered the basics and are ready for their next artistic challenge, we’ll focus on capturing our farm’s most industrious resident – the bee!

Class Details:

This two-hour class offers a perfect blend of creativity, and skill enhancement, armed with a brush and a palette, you’ll learn the advanced techniques of watercolor painting to bring a lifelike bee to the canvas.

While not a requirement, we recommend you have attended a beginner watercolor class or have some basic experience with watercolor techniques. And remember, art can get a little messy, so wear clothes that you’re comfortable getting a splash of paint on!
