Life on the Farm!
A hands-on farm adventure where campers care for animals, tend the garden, and explore nature. Fun, learning, and outdoor excitement every day!
June 2nd – 6th
from 9 am to 2 pm
Camp Cost: $175 per week per child ($25 Early Payment Discount if paid by February 17, 2025).
A Rare & Unique Farm Experience
In this engaging and immersive camp, children are offered a rare glimpse into the heart of farm life, with a special focus on caring for and understanding rescue farm animals. More than just an educational journey, this is a hands-on adventure that connects kids with nature, animals, and the fundamentals of farm living.
Campers will develop a deep connection with the animals they care for, many of which have been rescued and given a new lease on life at Hidden Bee Farm. Whether they’re feeding, brushing, or simply spending time with them, kids will gain compassion, responsibility, and a sense of stewardship for the world around them.
🐴 Hands-On with Rescue Animals
From furry to feathered, campers will get up close and personal with a variety of farm animals, learning how to care for them, feed them, and understand their unique needs.
🐴 What do horses eat, and how do we take care of them? Campers will help with brushing, feeding, and learning about equine care.
🐐 Why do goats love to climb? We’ll observe their playful nature and even create a fun space for them to explore!
🐖 Do pigs really love mud? Yes! And we’ll learn how cooling off in the mud keeps them happy and healthy.
🐔 How do we care for chickens? Campers will collect eggs, feed the flock, and learn about their role on the farm.
🐄 How many stomachs does a cow have? Surprise—just one, but with four compartments! Campers will learn how cows digest grass and hay in their rumen, chew cud, and break down their food in a way totally different from humans.
🌱 Life on a Working Farm
A farm is a busy, living ecosystem, and kids will experience how everything connects! Throughout the week, they’ll:
✔ Plant and care for the children’s garden—learning about soil, seeds, and pollinators.
✔ Make fresh butter and ice cream—experiencing the fun of farm-to-table food.
✔ Help with barn chores—because teamwork is what makes a farm run!
✔ Learn how to identify animal tracks and signs—a little detective work around the farm!
🐣 Will We See Baby Chicks Hatch?
Maybe! 🐥 If the timing is just right, campers may get to see fluffy baby chicks hatch during camp week—a magical experience for young animal lovers!
🎨 Age-Appropriate Activities
This camp is designed for ages 5-12, and campers are often broken into smaller groups to ensure activities are age-appropriate, engaging, and tailored to their skill levels. Whether it’s working with animals, gardening, or creative farm projects, each child gets the best experience possible for their age group!
💦 Free Time & Water Play Every Day!
We know summer can be hot, so every camp will include plenty of free time and water play to keep cool and have fun! Whether it’s sprinklers, splash buckets, or creek time (depending on water levels)—there’s always a way to beat the heat and enjoy summer!
🛑 Safety & Fun First!
Safety is our top priority, and all activities will be supervised with plenty of helping hands to ensure that every child feels safe, supported, and engaged. We maintain a balance of fun and learning, with tons of hands-on exploration so campers can immerse themselves in farm life with confidence!
🎒 What to Bring & Wear
✔ Closed-toe shoes (a must for safety!)
✔ A snack & lunch
✔ Clothes that can handle getting messy
✔ Water shoes, a towel, & a water bottle
✔ Plenty of sunscreen – We’ll be spending a lot of time outdoors, so please apply sunscreen before camp and pack extra for reapplication!
