Empowering Children Through Compassion, Creativity, and Community
At Hidden Bee Learning @ Hidden Bee Farm, we believe education is more than academics—it’s a path to nurturing compassionate responsibility, curiosity, and a strong sense of self in every child.
Rooted in servant leadership, our programs are designed to build not only knowledge but character. We teach by example—modeling kindness, respect, and empathy in all we do. Whether a child is planting seeds, helping care for an animal, or exploring a scientific concept, they are learning to care for themselves, others, and the world around them.
Our Philosophy
We are guided by a belief in whole-child education—blending creativity, environmental stewardship, social-emotional development, and hands-on academics. At Hidden Bee Learning, children explore freely, think critically, and grow confidently in a space that celebrates who they are.
Our own family’s journey—particularly the experiences of our youngest son with autism—has helped shape the heart of Hidden Bee. We’ve seen firsthand how nurturing connections with animals and nature can provide purpose, regulation, and joy. It’s not just an educational approach—it’s a way of life.
Programs Designed for Growth
Hidden Bee Learning offers semester-based programs that support homeschool families through structured, age-appropriate learning experiences aligned with Tennessee state law:
- Little Explorers (Ages 3–5)
Early foundational learning through the Experience Curriculum™, a play-based, discovery-rich environment that nurtures social, emotional, and academic growth. - Pathfinders (Ages 5–7)
A micro-school homeschool program using Moving Beyond the Page®, focused on building early literacy, numeracy, science, and creative thinking through hands-on exploration. - Trailblazers / Enrichment (Ages 7+)
A dynamic enrichment program using Blossom and Root® and project-based learning in science, art, nature, and writing. Perfect for older homeschoolers seeking meaningful learning experiences in a collaborative, outdoor-forward setting.
All programs are intentionally limited in size and supported by a low student-to-teacher ratio, with additional aides or floating staff ensuring consistent care, guidance, and supervision.
Our Team
The people we hire reflect the values we instill. Our staff is made up of experienced educators, parents, creatives, and lifelong learners who embody servant leadership. They guide not only through instruction, but through compassion and presence. Each staff member is carefully chosen for their ability to support a joyful, inclusive learning environment and their shared commitment to helping every child feel seen, safe, and capable.
Beyond the Classroom
Our seasonal camps and workshops extend learning through immersive, creative experiences including:
- Farm animal care
- Art and nature-based projects
- Soap making, fiber arts, and handcrafts
- Environmental education and science experiments
Children build practical skills, explore new interests, and gain confidence through hands-on, meaningful activities—all while having a great time.
The Heart of the Farm
While Hidden Bee Learning supports children, Hidden Bee Farm supports animals. We are home to a small, active farm animal rescue that offers refuge to abused or neglected animals. As children learn, they are also witness to healing, empathy, and second chances. Animals may not be the focus of the curriculum—but they are woven into the culture of kindness and care that makes our programs special.
Why We Do This
We believe that every child deserves a place where they can grow intellectually and emotionally, where their unique strengths are celebrated, and where they’re challenged to become leaders in their own lives.
At Hidden Bee, we’re not just preparing students for academic success—we’re preparing them to be thoughtful, kind, and empowered humans.
Join Us
Come see what makes Hidden Bee Learning more than a program. It’s a community. A farm. A classroom. A refuge. A place for every child to belong and grow.
