Class Description:
Discover the joy of watercolor painting with Watercolor Wonders at Hidden Bee Farm! This introductory class, designed specifically for children aged 8 and above, is a wonderful way to dip their toes into the vibrant world of watercolor. In a 2-hour session (from 10 am to 12 pm), participants will learn the fundamental techniques that form the backbone of this art form. The aim is to spark creativity, instill a love for painting, and lay the foundation for their artistic journey. The class fee of $20 covers all required materials. Please note, spaces are limited to ensure personalized attention.
What We Provide:
- All essential watercolor painting materials, including a palette of high-quality watercolor paints, a variety of brushes, and artist-grade watercolor paper.

Class Schedule:
Our class schedule is meant to serve as a guideline and we understand that each child’s learning pace is unique. We’re happy to adjust to ensure a positive and enjoyable learning experience for all.
1. Welcome and Introduction (0 – 10 minutes): Our colorful journey begins with introductions and a brief overview of the day’s plan.
2. Understanding Tools and Materials (10 – 30 minutes): A hands-on exploration of watercolor tools and materials to familiarize participants and prepare them for the painting process.
3. Learning Basic Watercolor Techniques (30 – 60 minutes): We’ll immerse ourselves in the world of watercolor, learning essential techniques such as wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, and color mixing.
4. Creating Your First Watercolor Piece (60 – 105 minutes): Participants will apply their newfound skills to create their very own watercolor painting, with our instructor providing guidance every step of the way.
5. Wrap-Up and Tips for Future Projects (105 – 120 minutes): We conclude the class by discussing how to preserve their artwork and sharing some helpful tips for their future watercolor endeavors.
